There are several ways to become a partner at the 6th Regional and Local Economic Growth Forum – FoRLED 2024, Vlora (Albania), 5 – 8 December, 2024 and to link the name of your organization, institution or company to its cause, exchange of knowledge and experience in the area of regional and local economic development policies, thanks to the role and synergy of all actors present in the territory such as: public and private institutions, the academic world, civil society as well as tourism, cultural heritage, new economy, digital economy, smart developments etc., from Western Balkans countries and abroad, with an important role in this process of development as well as Presentation, Promotion and Benefit.
These ‘Hospitable Partnerships’ give access to the forum, offer the possibility to adopt the costs of specific conference program elements and/or to present yourself at the conference venue.

Call for Volunteers

Since 2016, the Forum on Regional and Local Economic Development has provided a unique space where public, private and solidarity actors, as well as academics, civil society and media, can meet and debate about challenges fo regional developmet to build together a common a new vision with europian and “bottom up” approach on regional development and an inclusive and smart approach in coherence with European and Global Urban Agenda.

The 6th Forum on Regional and Local Economic Development in Western Balkans – FoRLED, 2024 will take place on  5 -8 December 2024!
The 2024 subject will be “Bridging Sustainable Blue & Green Development in Albania and  Western Balkans.”.

To make this Western Balkanic Forum a success, we need volunteers to:

  • Welcome and guide speakers and attendees
  • Help organising and giving feedback on conferences
  • Support the logistics of the event

Call for Side Events at FoRLED 2024

All  private or public entities or organisations participating in FoRLED 2024 will have the opportunity to organise side events on the margins of the Forum..

Side events will take place alongside the formal programme of the FoRLED, of the main Conference (official plenaries and roundtables) and will be an integral part of the Conference.

By  sending an email under subject: Side events FoRLED 2024, at email address: Forled@crlds.org, interested organizations are invited to submit their applications to organize a side event . 

Guidelines for applications

All side events will be in-person events, with each lasting 90 minutes. Due to limited availability for side events, only one submission per entity will be considered.

Since all side events will take place within the Conference premises, all panel speakers and participants at side events must be registered to participate in FoRLED 2024 to gain physical access. 

Side events should contribute to the objectives of the FoRLED and of the Conference.The selection process will give priority to events in coherence with the main topic of the FoRLED. 

The side event application should provide a description of the event, including its thematic focus, speakers/presenters, and its potential contribution to FoRLED. It should also clearly indicate the main organizer of the event and their contact information, including the name of the on-site contact person and their cellphone. Where possible, efforts will be made to allocate side events according to preferred dates.

Applicants are requested to commit to a balanced gender distribution among panellists / speakers.

Organizers are requested to provide  that nameplates be prepared in advance and brought to the conference centre.  Organizers are responsible for all publicity efforts for their side event. They are also invited to make use of the official FoRLED X (Twitter) hashtags, which are #FoRLED2024.

Side events are organized under the full responsibility of the organizing entity. There are no rental fees for rooms for side event organizers. Musical performances will take place in the main or common rooms.

Side event organizers will be responsible for setting up, managing, and publicizing the side event. OHRLLS will not produce flyers, distribute notices, or run other publicity efforts for side events. However, the full programme of approved side events will be posted on the official LLDC3 website, along with any registration links, agenda, or background documents.

Audio-visual equipment will be available for PowerPoint projection and video projection. On-site technicians will be available to ensure that the equipment is functioning well. There will be no provisions for live-streaming or webcast. If organizations wish to use PowerPoint, they are responsible for bringing their own laptops. Organizations are responsible for any other equipment they may wish to bring but must remove the equipment promptly upon the conclusion of the side event. Organizers may bring their own banners but must remove all such material promptly after the conclusion of their event.
